The significance of a BLACKROSE: farewell, death, drastic change, rejuvenation, rebirth.

On March 17th we came together with the Blackrose in mind to bade farewell to BLACKROSE’s founder and curator, Brittany Weeden, to see her off from 12 years in NYC to her new beginnings in the mountain tops of Colorado.

She curated an experiential event around art, sound, music, meditation, hospitality and community that left everyone in the room in awe and wanting more of whatever she creates in the future.

We began the evening with a private artist-led tour, wrapped in the sonic sound waves of Aaron Taylor Kuffner’s GAMELATRONs - an artist that caught Brittany’s ear and soul at Burning Man 2017 in the base of the man. From there, we communally walked over to Brittany’s dream venue in New York City - Hoffman Hall - where for the rest of the evening she took us on the most beautiful soulful journey, both individually and together. It was a night of pure celebration, rejuvenation and splendor.
