In the book, The Elements of Music - Melody, Rhythm & Harmony by Jason Martineau, the author states that “music is the art medium that communicates interiority, being only perceived by the ears, and received by the mind… It gives sound to our feelings when we have no voice, words when we are silent. In it we praise, love, hope, and remember. The breath of the soul, the contours of the path of a hummingbird in flight, and the wind that carries it, music shapes and shivers into endless colors, nuanced and diverse, and eternally creative. It is Spirit taking form.”

With every Blackrose event we are on a mission to speak to your soul, to inspire and awaken the Spirit within each of us so that we can feel and connect to all aspects of ourselves. We believe that sound is the most palpable medium to connect you to you and your interior journey. So, on the evening of October 25, nestled deep in Sunshine Canyon at the famous StarHouse temple, 60+ guests dropped into the musical composition of Denver-local sound designer and healer, Tommy Dill.

The experience combined therapeutic 432 Hz frequencies with ancient sound healing techniques to create a nurturing, immersive soundscape for the mind, body and spirit of the listeners. The soundscape created was further amplified by the StarHouse temple itself due to the ancient geometric principles and its constructed star map alignment.

Intuitively and seamlessly, Tommy Dill weaved a vast array of sounds, taking himself and everyone on an internal journey, telling a story and allowing Spirit to take form.

Due to the popularity of the first event, BLACKROSE and SOUNDULARITY will be teaming up quarterly starting in 2024. It’s an honor and gift to have this ongoing collaboration with Tommy and bring his immersive experience to the Boulder community.

A life’s journey is like a musical composition, born into the world from nothing, living for a time in form and structure, dancing spontaneously on the edge of chaos and order, and then finally returning.
